reverting content error

Hi There,

we built about 40 new pages of content on our ecommerce store before Christmas and having sense checked today, it looks like a number of pages have randomly reverted back to previous content, including hero banner or copy being wiped. 

I was wondering if anyone had encountered this and if so, how the fixed it / found a way to revert back to a previous version of the site (which hopefully contains the updated versions of the content)
