All things Shopify and commerce
Hi everyone,
I need some help regarding the robot.txt file on my store.
I spoke to a support advisor who told me that I require expert guidance on what changes to make to the robot.txt.
He tells me that there is limited support and if I come to the Shopify community, there are active developers who can guide me moving forward.
The robot.txt file is right down below. Can someone please advise me on what changes to make to achieve high-end security for my website?
Thank you,
Micah
Hi @mbrown1998 👋 What is the actual goal https://xyproblem.info/
If you don't understand robots.txt just don't touch it.
Realize you are asking a non-question.
Shopify already provides server security that's one of the main points of the online-sales channel so you don't have to muck with such things.
Do you think shopify would give you a file out of the box that was insecure for their own servers.
Shopify's support gave you a nice glossy non-answer because either they didn't understand what you are asking on a fundamental level.
Or they have to be so nice they couldn't find a way to tell you upfront the question doesn't make sense.
