All things Shopify and commerce
I am planning to run the US Shopify store from Pakistan. I have registered my LLC in USA as well and I will use wise account for payments. But now Shopify asked me to verify business details in which it left me with three options as follows:
1. Driving License
2. Government Issued ID
3. Passport
Now I am confused that should I submit my Pakistani document for this purpose ?
Because I have opened my store in USA registered my business got the EIN also the tax certificate and having physical business address in USA.
Please let me know should I submit my Pakistani ID ?

This is an accepted solution.
Hi, @Khurramskh
Thanks for posting to the Forums. I hope your day is going well!
Based on the information you've provided, you aren't eligible to use Shopify Payments. In order to be eligible to use Shopify Payments, you need to prove that you physically operate from the address you entered in your store settings.
Additionally, Wise accounts aren't accepted by Shopify Payments as the bank you use for your payouts needs to have a physical branch located in the United States as well.
Moving forward, you will need to adjust your store to the address you operate the business out of in Pakistan. Then, set up a payment gateway from this approved list.
This is an accepted solution.

Hi .@skye
Hope you doing well
My issue is related to this.i also registered a company in UK [ LTD ] so can i use stripe from Pakistan with shopify by using my business address?
Hi, @M_Ahmad
Thanks for joining the conversation!
While you may be a registered business in the UK, to be eligible for Shopify Payments you need to be able to verify that your business is operated from the UK, not Pakistan. This would mean providing a utility bill, or rental agreement from the UK address.
If your business is operating in Pakistan then you would need to use a payment gateway from the provided list.
Hi, @M_Ahmad
That's correct. It is the same for all payment processors.
Hi .@skye
Thanks for this conversation
I have a question about using addresses for verification in the UK and USA.is that okay to use a different address for these purposes, one that is not my business address.i mean can i use different address for verification and providing utility bills etc?
Can PayPal account be used for payments.
And what are the documents required to make Shopify account while living in Shopify and what about the delivery time
Hi Skye:
Merry Christmas to you.
I was struggling for days to find the solution for this issue. this is Mostafa from Egypt, according to your answer above establishing an LLC and having an American Address is not enough eligible to use Shopify Payments, Ok, can I establish a shopify store using my home address and targeting USA market and use a payment gateway from the approved list which has providers approved by US like payoneer, and could you tell me which bank will be eligible for my payouts.
please this is a critical situation for me since I already have a store and pay a lot of money for this issue
thanks for your reply in advance
