Hi! I was scammed through a website called "debeautify.se" and now it longer exist. The order confirmation email is not working. And there is no possibility to get in touch with this person nor anyone from shop pay or shopify! This is horrific. Only a community i can write in? How can that be? The confirmation of the order came from an email named "store+77327171929@t.shopifyemail.com" but I cant find this store anymore" since it's a scam it's possible that this is not even the name they have. I've been trying to report on this shopify website but you guys need a order confirmation link and its not working obviously. The payment was made through shop pay app and this is the same company. What can I do? I can't even see the order but the transaction has been through my bank account and it says shop pay on the transaction so you guys need to help me because this is. clearly a scam. I even tried emailing you but i only get the email back saying you dont accept incoming messages. This is so sad. I have already been contacting my bank but since the transaction was made through your services you need to take responsibility for working with scams!

I'm really sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. I would recommend contacting Shopify to resolve this as only they will be able to help out.

 

Additionally, you could also file a charge back claim with your bank or credit card directly.

Marko - the problem with contacting Shopify is that their UI is awful and seems geared only towards the sellers and not consumers. I just got scammed in a similar fashion for more than $1400 and like Johanna, I can't even figure out how to file any kind of report or claim with Shopify because of their rigid submission form and the fact that I don't have a valid URL of the order confirmation, which is now blank as the seller took my money and ghosted.  I'm baffled at how a publicly traded company with a market cap of of $85 billion can allow sellers to set up shopify stores, apparently unvetted, and take money and just disappear.

Yes, there are some bad actors in ecommerce as well unfortunately. We hope Shopify will get back to you soon and help you resolve this and hopefully get your money back.

I don't think Shopify will get back to me because I can't even figure out how to contact them.

Thanks Marko... I appreciate that, I was unable to find their contact info outside of their submission form that I was unable to complete.

Yeah I have already tried all the suggestions. Contacting them on the email doesn’t work either. They don’t accept messages anymore it says. I was just writing here hoping anyone has been able to resolve similiar situations in trying to contact this **bleep**ty shopify website. Alof of scamming it seems but no help with it.

Yes, it seems to me that Shopify is knowingly facilitating fraud.

Here is all you will get out of Spotify, basically their stance is that it is not their problem. What a ridiculous company. 

 

Oh no, that sounds frustrating! Here’s what you can do:

  1. Contact the store directly to request a resolution.
  2. If that doesnt work, you might consider contacting your bank or credit card company to dispute the charge.

Same thing happened to me.  As Marko mentioned, file a claim with your credit card company.

I'd also file a report with Shopify but I can't even figure out how to... my first and almost certainly last experience with Shopify has not been pleasant.
