Search Results Error for "western-wear"

Hello Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with the search functionality on our website. When searching for “western-wear,” the search results display products that are not tagged with “western.” This is causing confusion for our customers and affecting the accuracy of our search results.

I have not tested all search terms, so there might be similar errors with other tags as well.

Could you please investigate why these untagged products are appearing in the search results and resolve the issue?

Thanks for posting in the Shopify Community. Just to confirm, the products that are showing up in the search results, do they have western wear in the title or description? If so, they will appear even if they don't have the western-wear product tag. You can check out this help document for more information on how Shopify's storefront search works.
