All things Shopify and commerce
I'm not sure how to contact Shopify support but I'm thinking I'm being victim from a scam ecommerce website. The site name is crabgrasskiller.ca and saying it is powered by Shopify. I placed an order 3 days ago and I never received any shipping confirmation. I tried contacting their email address ( sales@crabgrasskiller.ca ) for support and this email address bounced back as being invalid, making me wonder if this site is really legit although it appears to be.. I'm not sure what the process is to report this website and have it investigated. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi @EG71 ,
I’m sorry to hear about your experience. In this case, you can try reaching out to your bank or credit card issuer to initiate a chargeback. Contact them and explain that you never received the product you purchased. Provide all the evidence you’ve gathered, such as your order confirmation and any communication with the seller.
Most banks have a specific process for handling chargebacks, and they may require you to fill out a form or provide additional documentation. Be sure to follow their instructions carefully.
If you checked out as a guest, use the same email address you provided during the purchase to register an account on the Shopify store. This should allow you to see your order in your account and provide additional evidence if needed.
I hope this helps, and you get your issue resolved soon!
Hi, @EG71
Thanks for posting to the Forums.
Unfortunately, we aren't able to legally confirm or deny whether a businesses uses Shopify as their ecommerce software. Additionally, we aren't a marketplace like Amazon, or eBay. This means we don't have access to user's accounts for situations such as this.
That being said, we do not tolerate merchants using Shopify with bad intentions. As such, we have a great FAQ you can refer to here that goes over next steps and what to do in situations where you feel you were taken advantage of.
