All things Shopify and commerce
We have an online shop based in Hawaii, shipping our products nationwide using USPS Ground Advantage. This shipping method has proven reliable, delivering to the US mainland in a prompt 4-6 days with reasonable shipping costs.
However, we've encountered a minor hiccup that has been causing some confusion among our customers. When we opt for USPS Ground Advantage in our Shopify settings, the ETA email sent to customers indicates an expected arrival time of about 18 days later (2.5 weeks). In reality, our shipments consistently reach their destination within the promised 4-6 days.
This discrepancy in the ETA email surprises our customers and raises concerns about the delivery timeline. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or has insights into how we can address this situation effectively?
Is there a way to align the Shopify ETA email notification with the actual delivery time provided by USPS Ground Advantage? Can Shopify help us in customizing or adjusting these automated emails to provide a more accurate representation of the shipping timeframe?

Hi @YukoY
Great question! I can hopefully help you resolve this issue.
If you are using the default Shopify notifications then you can find those in your store admin under Settings > Notifications. You may be referring to the notifications found under Shipping:
You can preview and edit the email templates by clicking on their titles. Allowing you to adjust your recommended delivery times.
If you are using a third party app to manage your email notifications, the templates for these emails may be replaced by ones used in the app. You would need to sign into your email app and check the notification settings from within there if that is the case.
