seo.hidden not working

I want to hide certain products from the store and from the search results. Previously it worked by using seo.hidden metafield and setting its integer value to 1 on the product, but now it is not working anymore. Any idea?

Can you share the ? values for a SEO hidden product metafield on your site:

"namespace": "?",
"key": "?",
"value": ?,
"type": "?"

You can see these raw values when logged into that stores Admin.

Accessed by this link:
https://admin.shopify.com/store/your-store-subdomain/products/10101010101010/metafields.json

replacing the bold bits with subdomain and product id, respectively.

Hey, @Nitansh

The above method will hide the product from search engines but not the storefront. You can unpublish the products from your Shopify admin so that they no longer show up on your storefront. We have a guide here on how you can accomplish that.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Hi Dirk, any idea why seo.hidden wouldn't be working on a Shopify Plus store? When I try to add I am getting a notification that "Namespace and key are already taken", but it is not a currently defined definition.

Hi, @drewcuz0. For more help with this it's best to contact us through the Help Center here. seo.hidden is a system metafield that can be used by third party integrations for data storage when they're hiding a resource from search engines and sitemaps. If seo.hidden has been taken by third party integrations on a shop, it will not be visible in the Shopify admin for you to modify, in order to protect this data. That being said, we should be able to assist you with this further.

Hi @Erin thanks for the response here. Sounds good, one issue: I was recently given collaborator access to the store in question and for some reason it is not showing up as a selection option when I open the Shopify Plus support portal. I have confirmed that I have collaborator access and that the store is on the Plus plan. Does it usually take some time for it to be added?

Hey, @drewcuz0.

Thanks for the follow-up.

If you're given collaborator access, then you can View your managed stores. However, if you're not seeing the store listed, then you may need to have the account owner reach out to Shopify Support for some troubleshooting. If the problem continues to persist, then please have the store owner get in touch with us via the Shopify Help Center.

If you have any other questions on this topic, then don't hesitate to let us know.

Hey @Elias thanks for the response. I am seeing the store in my managed stores but when I click on support it no longer is listed. Is there a way for me to reach out to Shopify support directly to troubleshoot?

Hey, @drewcuz0.

You can definitely try reaching out through Shopify Partner Support and see if our live support team can assist you. However, if the problem is related to store permissions, then this would be something that will require the account owner involvement in order to be resolved.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi Dirk,

the guide you linked is titled "Manage products, categories, and collections on Shop". But what about the Online Store channel?
