All things Shopify and commerce
Hi everyone! I have a monthly subscription product on my store that I want to discount starting the second month. So it would be something like this:
First Month, $35. Every consecutive month, 30% off that, which is $24.5.
Currently, the discount is set to 30% but it starts ion the first month itself. The reason it's a problem is because people can buy the product with a discount on month one and then cancel before the second month begins.
Alternatively, If it is possible to make sure the customer commits for X amount of months on purchase, that would be fine too.
I am using the Shopify subscription app and would rather not use any paid apps now, though I would consider it if it's exactly what I need. Is it possible to get this done?
Hi there!
We understand your situation and have a solution that fits your needs perfectly. Our Subscription application can handle the exact scenario you're describing. Here's how it works:
Customizable Discount Timing: You can set discounts to start from the second month onwards. In your case, you can easily configure the first month to be $35 and apply a 30% discount from the second month, making it $24.50.
Commitment Period: Our app also allows you to set a commitment period, ensuring customers commit to a specified number of months before they can cancel. This prevents customers from taking advantage of the discount and canceling prematurely.
If you have any questions or need assistance with setting this up, feel free to reach out. We're here to help!
