All things Shopify and commerce
Hey Guys,
We are a small business who has a monthly budget we need to hit. We break this up into daily goals in which our team works towards both through our POS system and our online store.
I am struggling at the moment to find a way to either add these monthly and daily goals onto either or both my POS system and regular shopify app. I want to be able to see my goals vs my actually profit made in the shopify analytics. It would be ideal if on my POS system i could see the daily goal as i was opening up my register.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get this to happen in my shopify app ?
Thanks so much, Team Issue.1
Hello Team Issue.1,
Unfortunately, there isn't a built-in feature on Shopify that allows for directly inputting and tracking goals against your actual sales within the Shopify interface or the POS system. But, there are a few workarounds and alternatives you can consider.
Shopify Apps: There are many apps available in the Shopify App Store that can assist with sales goals tracking. These provide an enhanced level of reporting and analytics over the standard Shopify offering and may allow you to input and track against your goals.
Use Google Analytics: This tool allows you to set and track goals. Once you have linked your Shopify store to Google Analytics, you can set up ecommerce tracking and establish goals. The downsides are that it might not be as granular or real-time as you like, and it doesn't directly integrate with your POS.
Custom Development: You can hire a Shopify expert or a software developer who can build a custom solution for your store. They might be able to develop a tool or widget that displays your sales goals on your POS system and your Shopify admin dashboard.
Manual Tracking: In the absence of other solutions, manual tracking in a spreadsheet or a tool like Google Sheets can serve the purpose. You can enter the sales data from Shopify and your POS system into the spreadsheet and compare it with your daily and monthly goals. This requires some manual work, but it gives you complete flexibility on how you track and what metrics you use.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Will
