Setting up order confirmation emails to be sent to product vendor

I will run a store that sells products for local vendors. When an order is placed, I would like a confirmation email to be sent to the Vendor who is listed for each product (so that they can fulfill the order).

I understand I can add vendor emails as a metaobject on my Product page. But I'm not able to find the functionality to automate an order confirmation to them when the order is placed. Klayviyo and Omnisend do not appear to support this automation (by vendor, anyway).

I know there are many Shopify stores that sell other companies products, so I'm looking for help on the simplest way to notify the vendors of the order. Thanks!

Or use shopify-flow to create a notification system

Or a third party automation app like mechanic

Hi @minnesorta ,

The Shopify flow can fulfill your requirement. You can create if the Order is created >> Vendor of all the order or at least a line item is from a specific vendor >> Send internal email.

Thanks Sachin! I would need to complete this same flow for every vendor though, correct? It's not possible to create a flow with the email address to be auto-populated with whatever email is in the Product page?

@minnesorta No! The email will not get auto-populated. You need to enter the email of every vendor and the same flow for every vendor. If you want to send an email to the customers from the Vendor's side, then you can use our app. We have the option to send the email from Vendor's side to the customers.
