Shipping rates by UK regional postcode on either basic or shopify plan

Hello,

Happy new year to you all.

Does anyone know if it is possible to set shipping rates by UK postcode on either the basic or Shopify plan?

Every app I have tried appears to say that I must be on the advanced plan or above to be able to use their app to set shipping rates by postcode.

What i am trying to do is set different shipping rates for delivery to the areas below.

England, Wales & Scotland 

Channel Islands

Isle Of Wight

Scottish Highlands

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

Luckily, we have a solution that can be exactly what you're looking for: Rates by Zip Code app by Zapiet. This app allows you to set up custom shipping rates based on postcodes, weights, and order value—so you can tailor everything to your own shipping needs without relying on third-party carriers.

It doesn't require carrier-calculated shipping by Shopify (that is available only for annual Shopify plans, Advanced and Plus plans). So you can freely install and use Rates by Zip Code with a cheaper plan!

Apart from that, we have advanced postal code matching method that will allow you setting up the UK postal codes very accurately, configuring the length of a postal code and the place of a space in it. 

It's user-friendly and must be easy to set up. You can group your postcodes into different zones (with one set of rates each), for example, areas around your store, the rest of the town, suburbs, and the rest of the country. Moreover, if you need to cover bigger areas, you can write down a postal code partially. With the advanced postcode match I mentioned above, a postal code you indicate may look like E1_***, and the app will accept every postcode starting with E1, followed by a space and any three characters.
