I have set up 'shipping to Canada' from the US with rates but when I test checking out to ship to Canada, it won't allow me put in a Canadian address. Just United States pops up... only allows me to ship within the USA. Anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix this? THANKS
Are you getting an error message? Then you need to ensure that your locations have the "Fulfill online orders from this location" option checked. If you try and add a product to your cart that is only featured at locations that do not have online orders enabled, then an error will be returned at checkout.
Also make sure that you have eligible shipping options for the regions you've added to your shipping zones. If there is no eligible rate for the products in the customer's cart then they will not be able to select a shipping method at checkout. This may happen, for example, if you have shipping rates based on weight, but the customer's cart is too heavy or light for any of the shipping rates featured.
If once you've checked all of this the error still appears, I would recommend reaching out to Shopify support team directly so you can resolve this directly.
This has been happening to us since the year started. We get complaints every week that customers outside the USA are getting error messages. They are not able to check out. If we get complaints every week how many customers are not complaining and just quit being customers? Not cool. I have tried everything from adding every carrier and every option, to limiting just to export. No problem with USA, but Canadians in particular are unable to check out due to address being not recognized or something like that. Australia and Spain are two others I distinctly recall - we had to process them offline. But the people willing to go the extra mile to order by email are few and far between. Shopify needs to investigate and fix this problem. I have USPS, UPS and DHL all options but no export orders ever come through anymore. Was not a problem in 2021 but now in 2022 it's a problem.
Not sure but you can check whether you have configured your Shopify market. This is done by selecting "Add Markets" from within the Markets settings. To resolve it accurately you can contact Shopify live chat support: https://help.shopify.com/en/questions#/contact/chat
