Shop Pay app tax issues

With the recent change in January 2025, shoppay app has been overcharging in tax rates for our customers. We are based in Illinois and only charge in state tax. But on the actual shop pay app they are not allowing us to only charge those specific rates and is instead charging outside of those parameters. Shopify help center wasn't much of a help so I am hoping someone here might have a remedy for this ASAP. We would like to maintain our presence on the shop pay app as it drives more sales and traffic to our store.
