I receive texts from TWVerify with 6 digit Shop Pay verification codes when I am not on line purchasing anything. I cannot tell what credit card they are using.
Does anyone have any information about this?
Hey, @vivread!
Thanks for getting in touch with us here in the Shopify Community!
In most cases, what usually happens when you're receiving verification codes, and you haven't shopped online lately is that somebody else accidentally entered the wrong phone number when signing up for Shop Pay. This is a common mistake and nothing to be concerned about. If you'd like to stop receiving these codes, you can opt out your phone number at this page here.

Hi there,
I am having the same issue. I dont have an account. I had to make one jist so I could message on here.
The link you have provided to remove the phone number doesnt work. I have tried for two days to have my number removed and it says that it is unavailable and to try later.
I have received 3 texts in 2 days with codes that have nothing to do with me.
And I can't speak to a person.
Hey, @jadeealiix!
Thanks for getting in touch on this thread.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulty opting out of Shop Pay. You can try clearing your cache and cookies as mentioned here on this link and also ensuring the browser is up-to-date and supported as suggested here. You can also attempt this action in a private or incognito window as an additional suggestion.
If that does not solve the issue, can you please share a screenshot of the error you're seeing? Looking forward to your response!

Hi Vivread ,just came across this web page as I to keep having TWVerify text messages come threw to my new mobile number to which I've never signed up to anything ,never before ,not now and definately not in the future ,so my belief is that it's no mistake that this continues happening on a very regular basis .This mobile number of mine is only weeks old and have only given it out to a hand full of people ,it's no mistake that someone has put in the incorrect number when signing up ,that's the number 1 lie this this fraudulent web site your now on will use every time someone like yourself has an issue or complaint in regards to fraudulent activity .Believe it or not statistics show that 9 times out of 10 the complainant will not follow or chase anything up further in regards to their initial issue siting excessive wait time for customer service staff or laying blame on someone who no longer works their wiping their hands of any negligencce or poor conduct .Disgusting actually .So this web site that you were directed to us just a front to which looks all professional to the majority of law abiding citizens not expecting anything but genuine no realising the time spent on notifying the company in regards to fraud will ultimately go no where .Every call or email is a dead end for any willing to waste their own personal valuable time ...
