All things Shopify and commerce
I don't know if this is part of a new update, but this just started happening.
There is an extra ribbon at the bottom of my labels that tells my customers to track their orders with the shopify app.
I would not like to have this in my labels, it seems intrusive for the customer experience. Is there a way to remove this?
Here is a photo of my label
My client had the same thing happen and want to remove this. Anyone know how to do that? Shopify
I created an account for the express purpose of expressing my need to have this intrusive and undesired text/advertisement removed from the shipping labels. Please immediately remove the text or give us an option to opt out. I currently am using scissors to cut the text off the label. This is time consuming and physically painful due to my arthritis. Pushing your branding onto your paying customers is unacceptable.
Also-- Shopify support has been removed from this website and we no longer can we access the chat feature, email or call support. (I have tried on multiple devices.)
After the horrendous roll out and lack of response on the Live View at the end of last year, I am not surprised that Shopify is once again being extremely shady. Shopify, please stop giving us reasons to find a new place to take our business.
I'd just want to bump this and agree with everything said. It's inappropriate for a paid service to tack on advertising like this.
I agree.
I ended up contacting support about this and eventually got this message back:
Got a reply from our shipping team, as per the team currently they cannot remove the Track all your orders with the SHOP app. What I am going to do is to submit a report to our developers so that they can apply an option to remove the Track all your orders with the SHOP app on the bottom part of label. The result will not be immediate but it will be created in the future.
Who knows when or if they'll put that into action, but thought I'd share the update.
I really hope something is done about this
FYI: Everyone else having this issue, I have been using the PirateShip app on Shopify to create my labels, it is an extra step but it doesn't add a ribbon to the bottom.
When you open the PirateShip app you click "Import from Shopify" and all your orders will be there for you to print out.
for Shipsurance on PirateShip put the insurance value at $101, otherwise you will get the standard USPS or other postal insurance
I am also using Pirate Ship now. They are good in a lot of ways. Very importantly, "Shopify" is no where on the label. But also, they allow the return name/address to be modified. (My Shopify store name has "Jewelry" in it, and I like to have that word not shown in the return name.) The scan forms work well (have had problems with the Shopify scan forms). They import all the order info from Shopify, so that part is easy. The only thing I don't like is that when you log in you get that silly "are you human" screen and the ridiculous pictures that go with it. That is the only negative, however.
