Shopify advising to shut down my account due to low conversion rate?

Hello, Ive received an email to advise that due to havig such a low conversion rate, Shopify may shut down my account. Has anyone else received this before? Im concerned that it may be a scam. Any helpo with be greatly appreciated.

@Sarzthomas I can confirm the email you're referring to is a phishing attempt. Like @GadgetsNoob pointed out, Shopify does not send emails from public services like Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and others. So, do avoid clicking on any links or sharing personal information from that email.

 

You can forward any phishing messages that you receive to Shopify's inbox at phishing@shopify.com. Tracking these helps us work to better security and keep your info safe. Take care!

100% Scam. Imagine your phone provider telling you that they will shut down your service cause you are not using it. 

 

Shopify will not use other emails besides from @Shopify emails. I guarantee that the email is not using @Shopify email. Could be coming from @gmail. If it is, you can report that as Spam, do not click on any links there and delete that email.

Hi @JasonH & @GadgetsNoob , Thank you so much. I did a bit more of a deep dive into the robts.txt file on my account and realised it was a scam. And great to know now that emails other than @shopify are fake.
