All things Shopify and commerce
Hello . I tried using Shopify some months ago and I was paying it with visa debit account . After a couple months or so I decided to stop the shop. I didn't know how to cancel my shop , so I tried to cancel my billing that if I delete my shop it will automaticaly stop when it will be next billing time . The problem is that it didn't stop and now I have a unpaid 58$ or so Bill. I searched on youtube how to cancel shopify , but it won't work because of the unpaid Bill. I wasn't using the website , so it is not fair for me to pay for it just because you make it hard to close the shop. So please, close my shop associated with this email. Thanks and I hope you can understand .Ps: i have no money in my account , i wanted to try this out and I don’t even use the online shop at all , it was just to check how it works and see if there’s an chances for me to. But there is not . Please email [REDACTED] to confirm that this is now done and will stop happening .
I get you completely—it’s really annoying to have a debt on something that you planned not keep using, and especially if you were only trying out.
With regard to the beginners, shopify assumes user’s manual cancellation so this may not make sense in some cases.
Considering that you are unable to make the payment of $58 now, the best thing for you to do is plead with Shopify for mercy through its support channel.
Just tell the truth about what happened with you: you made trials, failed to comprehend how one can opt out of it safely then now money due because of lack of enough funds.
