Hello,

Have received reports from our CN employees that they are unable to access our shopify store, or even shopify.com without using a VPN. Seems as though this is a recent development, as just a couple of weeks ago they were able to access without issue. Has been tested and multiple cities/users now unable to reach any shopify.com or myshopify.com domains. Just a few weeks ago everything was accessible, so not sure at exactly what point this happened. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Yes, I can confirm. It's not accessible from China anymore.

Does this affect e-commerce sites that are run through Shopify as well? We've noticed that customers in China cannot access our store any more or are having issues with access?

I have the same issue with our site needing to be available in most of China.  Is there a resolution for this?  Is it Shopify's Cloudflare?

Absolutely not!  We felt it was Shopify's CloudFlare.  I have had several responses back from Shopify... their last response, yesterday, was this:  I am unable to confirm if it has to do with Shopify's cloudflare, however using compliant connectivity methods have proven to work for other merchants with the same issue. These may include getting a license from an authorized service provider, which must be an operator qualified for international communication business, or using an authorized basic telecommunications business operator equipped with international communication gateway exchanges.  That said, I have also passed on all the information that you shared with our developers, however I cannot say that this will be an instant resolve on our end as we are currently still tracking these incidents.

Then I received another response after complaining that our past website had access to China:  We don't have a specific timeframe for a resolution here as those intermittent issues that could be experience loading shopify URLs in China are happening because of third parties that may be preventing connectivity to our services. At this point, our teams are trying to gather context and data to try to narrow the possible causes and track the issues.
