Shopify Buy Button saying 'collection not available' when it is

Please help!

When I go to create a buy button with my collection I get an error message saying 'please make collection available'

However, the collection is available??? I have tried making it unavailable and then available again, logging in and out, clearing caches, updating my browser and still nothing. 

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue! It says that my product is unavailable for a buy button - but I have a lot available! I don't know how to fix this. We used to have a buy button for this product - but now it's disappeared. And shopify keeps saying that the product is not available for a buy button.

Hi!! I just had this issue and spoke with customer service. They were able to help me. To fix this issue, go into "products" and select your new items. Then add them to your collections. What you're doing is making the collection available, but not the item itself.

The first picture is what the service agent sent me from a single product. The second is when I was quickly able to go and fix the problem. I hope this helps!!
