Shopify Editions - why so painful?

When is Shopify Editions going to stop being so northern hemisphere centric. Like its summer here and they've just released the "winter" edition.

At the end of the day its a painful exercise of making me read through a swathe of linked articles only to discover the "new" feature isn't actually released yet.
