All things Shopify and commerce
Hello, Shopify community.
The default Dawn theme has a problem when changing currencies in the selector. In my case, the default language is set to Spanish and it is sold worldwide (I include all available countries). As a fact to keep in mind, I am using the Translate & Adapt application.
When the language of the store is in Spanish, the currency can be changed easily and without errors, however, if the language of the store is in English or French, the currency change does not work when I choose a different one.
I thought it was a problem with my general store code, since I've been editing it for months, and I may have made some mistakes or created conflicts in the HTML; However, I have added a new Dawn theme from the admin panel and the error still occurs.
You can't change the currency if the store is translated, Dawn Theme issue. Could someone help me solve this?

This is an accepted solution.
I already understand the error. I've been testing and I already know how to replicate it.
Apparently, in my store I use an application for cookies;
-If you accept the store's cookies you can change the currency without any problems from the selector regardless of the language of the page.
-If you do not accept the store's cookies you cannot do that.
I have contacted technical support. They understand the problem and will fix it as soon as possible. I will be updating this thread, with each step or solution that they give me.
This is an accepted solution.
After spending several days talking to help center support, this was their final response and conclusion:
"Thank you for the response. As both the Privacy app and the translation app are handled by our dev teams I do not have access to the decision making process but the customer's selected settings, such as preferred language and currency, are stored locally on a cookie in their device. If this cookie is not created, the preferences cannot be saved, resulting in the issues you are experiencing. This cookie is needed for the apps to function correctly and to interact correctly with your system settings as well as our servers.
We understand that some people reject cookie requests while browsing the internet. However, it's important to note that without cookie permissions, certain functionalities will not be available and thus they are limited to avoid any incorrect information being displayed.
Enabling this functionality without the use of cookies would require altering the way localisation options work and, as I mentioned, this decision lies with our development team, and I have already notified them about your request."
Did you found a solution on that topic?
