I was interested in an online business and was seduced by an affiliate link but when they (through their store billing app) wanted access to private future customer information and my private banking information my alarm bells went off. I tried to cancel my 'trial' account immediately before the 3 day billing, and was still billed anyway.
I tried to contact Shopify customer support but the chatbot had me going in circles with no support. It wanted me to click my store link but the link doesn't work and I was in an infuriating circle getting nowhere. There is no way to get customer support so I am going to have to go to bank and submit a fraud claim since I can't contact Shopify.
This is so disappointing because I've used Shopify in the past for a company a few years ago and was able to speak to live support, but I see that is no longer an option.
