Shopify is still showing cancelled orders as unfulfilled. This has been an ongoing issue - for years! Having orders show up as unfulfilled when they are really just cancelled is disrupting the workflow as well as being really frustrating. Every time I open my orders there are unfulfilled orders screaming at me and there is nothing I can do about it. Shopify, please can you fix this??
Hey @Bushbaby77,
You're absolutely right — cancelled orders showing as unfulfilled in Shopify continues to be a long-standing pain point for many merchants. It clutters the order list, disrupts workflow, and creates unnecessary confusion, especially when trying to fulfill actual pending orders. Unfortunately, Shopify doesn’t currently auto-update fulfillment status based on cancellation, and there's no built-in filter to hide these from the unfulfilled view. Until Shopify addresses it directly, one workaround is to use custom order tags, saved views, or third-party apps to better manage your workflow. But yes — this is a frustrating and legitimate UX issue that needs a proper fix.
