Hello, we are selling dresses, and one of the option of dressings is "custom measurements".
We want to make an automation.
Logic is:
When bought "custom measurements" product variant (because other are basics: S/M/L/XL), customer should receive email, asking to send their body measurements.
After contacting Shopify support, they are saying that the problem from their side, and they have fixed it. But everything is the same. Maybe they (or me) have missed something.
what should be the logic of input?
You can customise your product page in a way like when user selects the custom size.
User will get all the input fields for every size you want in email those all fields will be mandatory for adding product in cart.

Yes, i know that. But we need to make to threw email. Coz customer must receive guides of measuring
so you can also enable a section that has all the guides of measurement or a video link.
if you want only a mail solution, the best will be to use the Shopify Flow app which is free and will trigger an event that will check the variant.
If found custom send a mail using Shopify mail.

I'd recommend using the Easify Product Options app for creating your Size options, including the "Custom Size". Also, when customers opt for "Custom Size" it will display custom fields for them to input their measurements before adding the product to the cart. This streamlined process is more convenient for customers compared to sending custom measurements via email after placing the order 😊.
