Shopify Paiements Problem

Hey guy I have a huge problem some of my clients are ordering on my website and getting their money back 2-3min after ordering. The order doesn't even register into my shopify. They instantly get their money back.

Did somebody have the same problem? I talked with the shopify support and they told me that there was no problem with my paiement processor and that all was good.

The problem is that I'm running ads and losing clients because of this. Some can pay and some cannot.

Hi,

This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

There are several potential reasons why your clients might be getting their money back and the orders not registering in Shopify:

  • Chargebacks: This is when a customer disputes a charge with their bank, often due to unauthorized use, incorrect billing, or dissatisfaction with the product or service. If your clients are disputing the charges, you'll likely see chargebacks in your Shopify account.
  • Technical Glitches: There could be temporary technical issues with your payment processor, Shopify's system, or your website that are causing the orders to fail. These issues can sometimes be resolved by clearing your browser cache and cookies, or contacting Shopify support for assistance.
  • Fraudulent Activity: It's possible that some of your clients are attempting to chargeback the orders fraudulently. This can happen if they use stolen credit card information or dispute the charge without a valid reason.
  • Payment Processor Restrictions: If you're using a high-risk payment processor, they may have restrictions in place that are preventing some orders from going through. This is more common for businesses that sell products or services that are considered high-risk, such as adult products or financial services.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

  • Check for Chargebacks: Look for any chargebacks in your Shopify account. If you see a lot of chargebacks, it's likely that there's a problem with your orders.
  • Contact Your Payment Processor: Reach out to your payment processor and ask if they're aware of any issues with your account. They may be able to provide more information about why the orders are failing.
  • Review Your Shopify Settings: Make sure that your Shopify settings are configured correctly for your payment processor. There may be a setting that needs to be changed in order for the orders to go through.
  • Check for Technical Issues: Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and testing the checkout process on different devices and browsers. If you're still having problems, contact Shopify support for assistance.
  • Implement Fraud Prevention Measures: You can use fraud prevention tools and techniques to help reduce the number of fraudulent orders. This may include things like verifying customer information, using address verification services, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
  • Consider Using a Different Payment Processor: If you're using a high-risk payment processor, you may want to consider switching to a different processor that has fewer restrictions.

Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.

It sounds like you might be facing an issue with your payment processor. Check if there are any specific restrictions or settings that might be causing this behavior, such as fraud detection or payment method limitations. It can also help to look at your store’s checkout settings and ensure everything is set up correctly. If the issue persists, consider testing different payment gateways to see if the problem continues with other processors.
