Shopify Payout balance not showing & no payment for over a week

Hi all - i can no longer see my Shopify payout balance for over a week - I have received no payments for 7 days, despite the store making sales as normal. Store has been open since May 2021.

I have reached out to customer support who have not been able to give me any information.
Other searches on forums suggest that there is a likely hold due to a request for information/document submission, but also say that i would receive a notification or email about this if this was required. I have not received any request to submit documentation. I don't see any option on settings to submit identification.

I have been told that a member of the accounts team will reach out to me but this has not happened at all.

any ideas?

thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

This is a serious issue that requires immediate attention. The lack of transparency from Shopify's support is frustrating, but there are steps you can take.

Potential Reasons for the Missing Payouts:

  • Account Review: Shopify might be conducting a review of your account, which can sometimes freeze payouts.
  • Payment Method Issues: There could be a problem with your bank account or payment method.
  • Technical Glitch: It's possible that there's a temporary issue with Shopify's system.
  • Chargebacks or Fraud: A high volume of chargebacks or suspected fraudulent activity could trigger a hold.

Steps to Take:

  1. Escalate the Issue: Continue to escalate your ticket with Shopify support. Request to speak to a supervisor or a higher-tier support agent. Be persistent and document every interaction.
  2. Review Your Account: Check for any recent changes or unusual activity that might have triggered a hold.
  3. Gather Documentation: Collect any relevant information, such as order details, bank statements, and previous payout records.
  4. Explore Alternative Payment Methods: While not ideal, consider alternative payment methods for urgent expenses.
  5. Consider Legal Action: If the issue persists without resolution, consult with a legal professional.

Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.

Best regards,

Richard | PageFly
