All things Shopify and commerce
If I carry a few skin care products that have been classified as "pseudo pharmaceutical", and I am using alternative payment gateways (and fine with that), is it possible that Shopify might purge or ban my website altogether?
Someone at Bigcommerce told me that Shopify purges our these kinds of websites every year.
Please advise ASAP. Shopify staff please.

Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
If you're already using an alternate (or third-party) payment gateway that supports pseudo pharmaceuticals, then you can absolutely use Shopify to support your business. That being said, it's important to note the distinction that pseudo pharmaceuticals are prohibited on the Shopify Payments gateway (as indicated on our Shopify Payments Terms of Service). However, this doesn't apply to the merchants using a third-party payment gateway on our platform. If you'd like to learn more, then I'd also encourage taking a look at the Shopify Terms of Service.
I'd love to hear more about your experience and I'd be happy to share some additional resources. Or, if you have any other questions on this topic, then don't hesitate to let me know!

Thank you so much for that info.
Which payment processor are you using? We're going through the same thing right now, need to find a processor who will allow us to sell only a few of the items in our 2,000 plus catalogue. Shopify Payments is raising a stink, as is Authorize.net. Thanks in advance! 🙂
