Hello Shopify Community,
I want to share my ongoing and extremely frustrating experience with Shopify’s support team. For 16 days, I’ve been stuck with a payments issue that is severely impacting my business, and Shopify has done nothing meaningful to resolve it.
The issue started with the following error:
"You have reached the maximum number of attempts for submitting your details. You need to contact support to make any changes."
As a result, although Shopify Payments is active, I can't access the balance from orders. I need these funds to purchase products and fulfill orders, but without access to them, my business operations have completely stalled.
I opened my first ticket 16 days ago and have created two more tickets since then. Every time, the only response I receive is:
These are empty promises with no action. I’ve asked for updates multiple times, but I’ve received nothing. No emails, no follow-ups—just silence. Shopify expects me to keep waiting, but my business can’t survive on endless delays.
This issue has completely halted my operations. Without access to my payment funds, I can’t supply or ship products. Every passing day damages my business further, and the lack of communication from Shopify has been incredibly frustrating. How can they expect a business to operate under these conditions?
If anyone in the community has faced a similar issue, I would greatly appreciate hearing your experiences. How long did it take to resolve? What steps, if any, helped speed things up? It’s clear that Shopify’s support team isn’t addressing my issue, and I need a way to escalate this effectively.
This experience has been deeply disappointing. Shopify’s lack of urgency, poor communication, and failure to act has caused serious harm to my business. I’ve offered to provide any necessary documents, yet 16 days have passed with no meaningful response.
I need immediate access to my funds and real action—no more delays or generic messages. I urge Shopify to take this matter seriously and provide a solution now, or I’ll have no choice but to escalate the issue publicly to warn others.

Based on experience, there are account issues that will take some time to be resolved so, if you feel like they are running behind, it would be best to follow up your case from time to time.
Do you have any idea how long it takes on average to resolve this issue?
Currently I'm suffering from the same issue, they opened 3 tickets and I'm still waiting
