All things Shopify and commerce
I do not understand how a company as big as Shopify has such a unprofessional team of developers that are hired to review apps. For one month we have been trying to publish our app and it keeps getting rejected because the developers that review each cycle or not aware of the comments left by the previous developers. Has anyone faced such an issue before? It is hectic and time consuming having to deal with a team that is not taking the time to understand and look at your case specifically.
1. We submitted the first version of our app. This included a feature that allowed Shopify users to sync data from Shopify and publish it to other channels. The app was rejected because Shopify does not allow consumer data to be published. This was fine so we removed this feature and kept other compliant features and resubmitted.
2. 1.5 weeks later another developer reviews the app and sees that Sync has been removed for Shopify. As such, he rejects the app saying that Shopify is not listed under the sync (Contradictory to the previous review!) we explain this and resubmit.
3. 1.5 weeks after that, a third developer reviews the app and rejects it again, claiming that this data is being used to be published on other channels which is again not the case since we had already removed the feature 3 weeks prior!
I am lost for words at this point and dont know how to escalate it further. We've spoken to the Shopify Help Center who have been of 0 help saying that the Shopify App team will get back to us. And there is no way to submit a complaint against the Shopify App team which are so unprofessional and dont even bother asking y
