All things Shopify and commerce
Hi everyone. I'm going to open a brick and mortar store for my two homewares business (let's call it business "X" and "Y"). I started Business X and Y at different time and they have separate Shopify account and theme. Both sells different brands but there are common products. I'm about to open a store and would like to have a single POS for both businesses. I was planning to use business X as the main store for the POS. My questions are:
1. What's the best way to combine and import all products into one single POS? Do I create a hidden collection on Business X then import all products from Business Y?
2. What's the best way to sync the inventory between Business X and Y? Both business have their own online store. Is there an app which can do live sync (both way between X and Y)?
I hope my questions made sense. Many thanks!
Hi @Reds1984,
I understand your requirements. As correctly pointed out by @Smithy90 , you would need different sets of tools to achieve this as you've explained. We have an app called Inventory Sync GoGo that can help you sync inventory across two stores for a common set of products.
This is one of the problems we try to address at pendoo.io. Customers scan a qr-code, scan the product barcode and checkout on their phone. The merchant doesn't have to worry about syncing POS devices. You can reach out to us here info@pendoo.io.
