All things Shopify and commerce
I get a lot of contacts from people wanting to sell services, saying they've audited my site and found errors, which they share, asking that I hire them to work on them.
How can I perform an audit myself?
HI @Ranbrown
I bet you do get a lot of those, other people too. Most are clear scams telling you you have some errors and lie about. But a tiny percentage is just searching for a job. Still, you have to be careful and not to believe those scams. They can "fix" your site for $400 for example, but in truth they do nothing and get access to your customers or even embed some malicious code to your website. Others could drag and drag work asking for more and more money and giving small things in return.
For tools there are a wide range of them free and paid just depends on what you want to focus on: SEO, performance...
You can do your own research, so for example check topics at https://community.shopify.com/c/store-feedback/bd-p/ecommerce-gallery
And see what most of the people have trouble with, and read advice that can help. You can request feedback for your site there too.
Good luck
Thank you! I appreciate the advice. I'll check out the link you put in. Again, thanks a bunch!
