Site Performance

Hello,

I opened a store a called golfersdream.shop a month ago and the website has plenty of visitors, but I have no sales, that site is basic, and I don't feel like I created it good enough and figured the golf thing was a no good to dropship. So, I am working the kinks out of that site and learning more, and I opened a new store called Swagstach.com and believe that is a much better-looking site but I would like a second opinion. I opened it 1 week ago and have 1015 total visits. I am opened for worldwide and offer Free shipping.

I am a father of 2 young children and have a wife who stays home and takes care of the kids. it gets tough paying all the bills and feel like I'm digging myself a deeper hole. I go work every day and I grind and grind on the store and web at night until late in the night trying to learn and make it in the drop shipping world and create a better life for my family. I don't expect to get rich over night or anything. would just love to get a couple of sales to help offset the cost to pay for the store and help live a little.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @justgettinby1

Thanks for sharing your store! I have some suggestions that I hope will help improve your site:

  • Announcement Bar:
It might be best to keep only one announcement bar, as having two can be a bit overwhelming. The one with “Welcome & Sale” doesn’t have a specific message, so consider removing it.

Kate_WSQ_0-1722396471890.png

  • Navigation Bar:
Your navigation bar items are all crowded on the left side. If you want to center your logo, it would look better to place the navigation below it in the center. Alternatively, you could place the logo on the left side of the navigation. Also, the navigation shouldn’t be two lines.
  • Homepage:
It seems like the only product on your homepage is your main product. Since you’re not a single-product store, customers might not realize you offer more products. It would be better to group your products into collections and display these collections on the homepage.
Additionally, consider adding color options for the featured product, allowing customers to directly add it to their cart or proceed to checkout.

Kate_WSQ_1-1722396566043.png

  • Navigation Link:
The “Shop” link in your navigation currently leads to the product detail page of the phone case. This might confuse customers into thinking your store only offers one product. I suggest changing it to “Shop the X-INK Case” or something similar if you want to give this product a special link in the menu.

Kate_WSQ_3-1722396654767.png

  • Product Details:
I understand that as a dropshipping business, the product details and images depend on your supplier. However, for your main product, you might want to add more information such as dimensions (people care about the thickness of phone cases), material, and other features beyond just the image.
  • More Swag Products Page:
On the “More Swag Products” page, consider adding more filters to help customers find the products they need.

Kate_WSQ_4-1722396765164.png

  • Bundle Deal:
The bundle deal on the product detail page of other products is still the phone case deal. It should either be a deal for the product on that page or not show any deal there.

I hope these suggestions help! Let me know if there’s anything else you need.

Good day to you @justgettinby1 ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm Lindsey from BON: Loyalty Rewards Referrals.

I really understand what you're going through, and I'm truly hoping for the best for you with your second online store. From the perspective of a Product executive, I have a few suggestions for you about your store design:

1. For the homepage

- Taskbar: The current task bar on your website looks quite abnormal. Its size is much bigger than normal task bar. I'd recommend you to re-size the logo to make it smaller (to save space, you should only keep the icon part of the logo, and remove the text part). Then you can re-arrage the menus there, the "Contact" menu is not on the same row as others, this makes your store looks less professional.

BON_Loyalty_0-1722400268787.png

- Branding color: Your current primary color is quite striking. Since there are a lot of red sections on your store, it can be a bit harsh on the eyes for store visitors. Minimize the size of the task bar, and the footer section (which contains a lot for red), will make your store soother to the eyes.

- Clear Value Proposition: Make sure the unique selling points of your store are immediately visible. As I see, you already put some USPs of your store on the homepage. You should choose an attractive tagline that highlights your store USP, and promote it on your website and other platforms as well. As I see here, your store is lacking a slogan/tagline, which makes it less attractive compared to other stores. Further more, I think this section can be optimized. The current description lines are of uneven length, which makes the overall section look unsightly. You should shorten the description of "Customer satisfaction", and write more for "Free shipping" and "Fast processing".

BON_Loyalty_1-1722400311408.png

2. For the product page

- Overall layout: There are too many unnecessary parts in your current product page. For example, the "Why choose us?", "1000+ happy customers" and "FAQ" sections are already showned on the homepage, and those sections do not align with the product page, you should take them out. Besides, this "More swag" section is also redundant, the section "Customers who also brought" section right below also serves the purpose of introducing other products. Too many unnecessary sections will distract your customers from purchasing.

BON_Loyalty_2-1722400347810.png

- Re-arrage other products into collections: As I check, beside the main product, you also sell other products on this store. You should sort them into collections, instead of just listing them all there. This makes it easier for customers to find products that suit their needs, and increase customer experience on the product page. And I also don't get the idea behind this "Discover more of our favorites" layout? This section is creating too much unnecessary blank space on your site.

BON_Loyalty_3-1722400379244.png

I'd also recommend you to consider using a page-builder Shopify app for your store, if you feel like you are struggle with design the store by yourself. Every page builder app has tons of templates and well-design sections that you can use right away, so it will save you a lot of time and effort.

Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated. Also I took a lot of your
advice and did tons of correcting on the site. I am a rookie and learning
all I can while having a full time job and easing a family of 4. I didn’t
even know about part about the section customers who also and others I
saw. I got rid of that. Thanks for letting me know that.

Please check out my site to see if I made improvements or made it worse.
Lol. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m correcting the issues. Also I can’t
figure how to remove the bundle deal from the other products. When I remove
it from the other products. It removes it from the X-INK case. I thought
about removing the bundle thing and add a message saying bundle deals on
the ink case.

I removed the bundle. But it’s shrine theme and it’s the quantity
discounts. Enabled quantity discounts.

I couldn’t find the theme in the Shopify theme store. If you’re still interested in offering a volume discount, I would recommend using a public app. Although, I must admit, I’m curious why someone would buy two identical phone cases at once.😄

to buy one for yourself and significant other or relative. You can choose
different phone for each case. But I removed it and will add it into the
