Hi guys, i am struggling to add 'different size guide' for 'different collections'. It can be hard to explain you but if you check the screenshot below, it will give a good idea of my problem. right now i am using one single page for both size guide(collection).

how can i use men size guide for men's products only and women's one for women products only. As in collapsable row. URL - www.deshoeshop.com

any easy way to solve this issue? i am also trying to use metafield but bit confusing for me to understand metafield.

Hi @DSS5

This is a great question and one that I know a lot of merchants are asking. This is something that can be done a few different ways. I am going to provide you the most straightforward method since it looks like you are already halfway there with your current layout.

From what I can see in your screenshot it looks like you are referencing a page as your source for the size charts, is that correct? (Screenshot for reference here) If yes, then these are your next steps:

TLDR: Create two new product page templates, one for men's shoes and one for women's shoes, connecting each to a page containing the size charts. Then assign the matching product page templates to the correct products.

  • Sign into your admin and go to Online Store > Pages
  • Create two new pages, one with an image for the men's shoes size chart and one for the women's shoes size chart.
  • Next, head to Online Store > Themes > Edit
  • Select the "Home Page" drop down menu from the top of the screen and choose Products > Create Template
  • Create two new templates, one for men's shoes and one for women's shoes. You should always keep the default template without product specific customizations.

  • In each of the new template pages you have created, connect to the specific page with the matching size chart. (See reference image I linked above)

Now we need to assign the new page templates to appropriate products. You can quickly filter your products by tags or collections to separate out the men and women shoes (or you can do this manually). Once you have selected the appropriate category of products in your product list, open the bulk editor and add the template column. Change the first one in the list to the matching template page and then grab from the bottom right corner of the cell to drag down and highlight the rest of the column. Save your changes. See my animation below as a reference:

Once you have assigned the new product page template to the matching products, you should see the appropriate size chart on their product pages.

Let me know if you have any questions or get stuck anywhere. If you are unsure of the next step please try and share some screenshots of where you are at currently to help me figure that out!

Where do you go after creating the templates?
