Godaddy is requesting I confirm my  Shopify website for an SSL certificate by adding a directory in the highest-level directory of the website and adding a txt file with a specific ID code. How would I go about doing that?

Shopify provides your site with a SSL cert. Are you sure you need to do this with GoDaddy?

Don't hand out staff invites or give admin password to forum members unless absolutely needed. In most cases the help you need can be handled without that.

I am unfamiliar with the rules of SSL certificates. My boss requested it as Godaddy has one. I don't really know if I need the SSL certificate from Godaddy. So if Shopify provides an SSL certificate then I guess we don't need one from our domain provider.
