All things Shopify and commerce
Hello, I have recently applied a domain for my Shopify from godaddy, and it currently says ssl pending at the top. I know for it to go away I need to verify my domain ownership but I can not find anything to help me on that? Do I get sent an email to verify it or what steps do I have to do in order to get that resolved?
Hi,
This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.
The "SSL Pending" message in your Shopify admin usually indicates that your domain is still being verified. This verification step is crucial for enabling secure connections (HTTPS) to your store.
Here's how you typically verify domain ownership with Shopify:
Access Shopify Admin: Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
Go to Domain Settings: Navigate to Settings > Domains.
Connect Your Domain:
Update DNS Records:
Request Verification in Shopify: After adding the TXT record to your domain provider's settings, go back to your Shopify admin and click Request verification.
Wait for Propagation: It can take some time (usually a few hours) for the DNS changes to propagate across the internet.
Check for SSL: Once the verification is complete, the "SSL Pending" message should disappear, and your store will be accessible via HTTPS.
Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.
Best regards,
Richard | PageFly
