hello could you help me since yesterday I linked my own domain to my shopfiy account but it stays on ssl pending? what can I do I have set everything as it is on your site.

I'd be happy to look into this with you. A 'SSL pending' domain means the SSL certificate is still pending on that domain--meaning SSL is not ready to be active. You'll only be able to visit the domain through HTTP during that time. Pending SSLs should naturally transition to 'provisioned' once the domains are added and pointing properly.When you add your custom domain, a new SSL certificate is automatically created. This process can take up to 48 hours. During that time, you might see an error that reads SSL Unavailable in your Shopify admin and you might see a security error in your browser when you visit your online store.

thanks for the comment, I have to do something else I hope the ssl works fast because customers can not pay now, my site is smartstorexl.com can you help me here.

I have contacted my domain administrator, everything is set up correctly with your settings, it has been 48 hours since I added my domain smartstorexl.com to my store and it is still on ssl pending can you help me with this?

Hi I'm having the same problem. My SSL have been pending for 5 days and costumers have contacted me saying they cant checkout. Please can someone advise me on how to fix this

I've recently finished creating my Shopify store and bought my first domain off GoDaddy and I'm ready to start my launch but my page says it's not secure. My domain list says that the SSL is still pending. I've been trying to get it to say completed for so long now and nothing is working. Please someone help me out with this. My domain name is thesilkybeauty.com.

Hi oliver,

I have a problem with SSL pending. I have transferred my domainnaam to shopify. Now i have like for already 2 weeks SSL pending... what can i do?? I have asked my old website provider and they said i had to ask you guys about this.. because they don’t own anymore the dns settings.. so i want to ask what is wrong? Can you please help me.. i need to launch my website ..

Thanks for reaching out about this. When you add your custom domain, a new SSL certificate is automatically created. This process can take up to 48 hours but it sounds like it's been longer which tells us there are likely some settings that aren't quite correct.

 

To resolve the security error, make sure that your domain record settings are configured correctly. The most common issues with domain configurations are:

If you've made changes to your domain record settings so that they're configured correctly, then it can take up to 48 hours for those changes to take effect. If you still see the security error message after 48 hours, then let me know and we can authenticate you and take a closer look.

Hi,
Thanks for responding to me.

It doesn’t help.. it already here for 2 weeks. How can i edit it and point it to shopify? How do i know it is pointed to shopify?

Please help me out.. because it is still there..

I have checked with my domain provider and they said it is pointing to the
right record. I have two domains that keep interchanging when I type my
website URL in. Both the generic shopify one I created and the primary
domain I want to redirect. Both appear on the URL simultaneously. I have
selected a primary domain too.

I'm in the lineup of folk waiting for the SSL pending sign to disappear. My domain provider has completed all of the steps and I have been waiting 4 days for resolution and unable to launch my store. Help!

It looks like the domain may have been in a pending state while the SSL certificates were provisioned or you were able to correctly adjust the DNS settings on your own as I am now able to access the website with full SSL security. If you're still having any trouble, don't hesitate to reach back out to me here.
