All things Shopify and commerce
Hi,
Im trying to set up click and collect for my stores but im running into some problems. For context:
I want to have 2 locations where customers can pick up online orders, and one 'warehouse' where stock is managed. I don't want the 2 locations to have individual stock levels. I want there to be a centralised stock level across everything.
I've created 3 'locations'. My warehouse and the 2 pickup locations (physical stores). I've set the warehouse to the default location and assigned inventory to just this location alone. I've enabled track quantity on all my products and now set up the 2 locations as pickup in store.
However, by having the stock only assigned to my warehouse, stock levels arent showing on the storefront, and all products are displaying as out of stock.
Any help on this please?
It sounds like the issue is that your warehouse location isn’t enabled for online sales. Shopify will only display stock for locations that are set up for the online store.
To fix this, go to Settings > Locations and make sure your warehouse location is marked as "Available for Online Store" sales. This will allow your stock levels from the warehouse to show on the storefront.
Also, ensure that the 2 pickup locations are set as Pickup and not assigned any stock, so they don’t show as out of stock. By doing this, your warehouse will manage centralized stock, and customers will be able to choose from your pickup locations at checkout.
