Store keeps Deactivating

Good Day,

Need help with this issue.

  1. I went in to create my shop and I followed the instructions the first time and contacted support when needed to get help.  I got the shop completed and went to add pages and once finished it deactivated the shop, contacted support and I did the dispute, and it took 2 days, and I was able to go back on to create it again. Then after I started back on it then I get the email from Shopify saying to go back and create another page but, no information on what happen so If it was something I did I would not do it again,
  2. Second Attempt, it took me two days to redo the whole shop, and I added my social media information to the page, and it deactivated it again.  I contacted support this was Tuesday, and they told me to fill out another dispute and I did and today is Thursday and it shows I was refunded my money for the domain name, but again no explanation on what happen, and I have not received any emails as of yet. I am frustrated, frustrated because it takes a while to complete these shops the way you really want them and finally, I was ready to download my merch and it deactivated again.

There must be a reason why Shopify keeps deactivating your store, check their policies to ensure you follow all the acceptable use policies. Contact Shopify again and ask for clarification to avoid making the same mistake again, and check your email very well for a warning or policy violation notice. If you are ready to set up a new shop, I am always here to help and ensure it is compliant with Shopify standard

I hear your frustration, and I totally get it, building a store takes time, and these sudden deactivations without clear explanations are discouraging. Since Shopify typically deactivates stores due to policy violations, verification issues, or automated security flags, here’s what I’d suggest:

  1. Check Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy to ensure your store isn’t unintentionally violating any terms.
  2. Verify your business details, if Shopify flagged anything related to ownership, payment processing, or domain registration, you might need to submit additional documentation.
  3. Try contacting Shopify’s Trust & Safety team directly instead of general support—they handle deactivation cases.
  4. If Shopify refunded your domain, it could indicate a permanent closure—I’d ask them directly if your store can be reinstated or if you should start fresh with a new account.
  5. Consider alternative platforms if you continue facing issues—though I hope Shopify resolves this for you quickly!
