To disable the store password, I need to pick a plan. If I did so but decided to close the store later and walk away before the free trial ends. I'm worried if I have to pay the plan fees since I've picked a plan ??

Even though you select a plan during your trial period, you will only be charged for the subscription once the trial ends. Just ensure you close the store while you're still on the trial and no bills will be invoiced for your Shopify subscription.

 

If you need the steps to close your store, you can refer to the guide below.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
  2. Click Cancel subscription or Pause or cancel subscription.
  3. Review the options to pause your subscription, or sell your store.
  4. Click Cancel subscription and close store.
  5. Select a reason for the cancellation, and then click Continue.
  6. Enter your password.
  7. Click Close store.
