Why doesn't my product show up in my online store preview?

Help please!!

Im have an issue viewing my store
i uploaded my first product, but when I go to preview or press the little eye, nothing happens. 

When I press “online store” on the left of the screen, a preview of my store come up with my store name but with the simple theme example products, not my own import product. 

I've set my product to “Active” to see that makes a difference, it doesn’t.

If your store using any collection for homepage then you have to add your product in the collection to make product visible.

Hi, @!

In order to have your products displaying on your storefront, you'll want to do two things - add the products to a collection and add the collection to the navigation menu.

In order to add your products to a collection, you need to do the following -

  1. Navigate to Products > Collections.
  2. Click on Create Collection 
     

  3. Complete all the fields on the page. In the Collection type section, you can select Manual for the time being.
  4. Click on Save
  5. You can then go to Products, click on the checkbox next to the product you uploaded. 
     

  6. Click on More Actions > Add to Collection(s), select the collection you created and save. 
     

Here is our Shopify Help Guide with more information on Collections.

Once you have completed the above, you will then need to add this collection to your Navigation -

  1. Navigate to Online Store > Navigation.
  2. Click on Main Menu. 
     

  3. Click on Add menu item.
  4. Fill out the Name field and in the Link field, search for the collection you had created.
  5. Click on Add and Save.

You should now be able to see your product on the store front. Let me know if you have any issues whilst completing the steps above.

Thankyou for the step by step, I followed it all, but still no luck! 
the new collection I made is there but it still says 

“sorry, there are no products in this collection”

I think my Shopify maybe broke 😞

I can see you've got a menu item labelled Catalog - are you able to click into this menu and advise me if the products have shown up there please?

Are you able to send through a screenshot of your Navigation settings please? (Feel free to blur out any sensitive information).
