All things Shopify and commerce
Prior to switching to Shopify 2.0 I was somehow filtering the "list collection" pages to only show certain collections based on the link the they clicked.
Eg. Mega menu > Search by brand > list collection page
On my new theme the list collection page shows all the collections in the store. Is there a way I can filter these so that that customers can click on a link titled "hardware brands" and have the page only display the applicable collections?
I don't see anywhere in the admin where I can add tags to a collection so I'm not sure how I can go about this.
Thanks!
Hi @TonyNguyen1 👋 So,
I was somehow filtering the "list collection" pages to only show certain collections based on the link the they clicked.
If YOU don't know the customization details of an old implementation it's next to impossible for someone else to just know what was done.
Someone has to inspect the code and review the business logic.
Review the old theme and identify the core logic.
Otherwise this boils down to a sub-collection advanced theme customization of which implementations will vary wildly among themes and there are plenty of pre-existing forum posts , or internet articles to research and build on.
If you need such a customization migrated from an old vintage theme to a new OS2.0 theme then contact me for services
