All things Shopify and commerce
Hello, I was browsing google images for my website when I found a handful of weird images linked to my store. I have no idea where they are coming from, and I don't know if reindexing the page will make them go away. I'm hoping someone else has experienced this, so we can find a solution. See the link for one image, and I have attached a screenshot that includes the other weird images as well. They are boxed in red. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi Renata! 👋
This usually happens when Google mistakenly associates unrelated images with your product pages — and in your case, that image URL (lh3.googleusercontent.com) is actually a Google profile photo, often pulled in through review apps or comment sections that display customer avatars.
To fix this:
Check your review or chat apps — they might be showing profile images pulled from Google accounts.
Look for settings to turn off customer avatars or switch to generic icons instead.
If that image is no longer part of your page, go to Google Search Console → URL Inspection, enter the page URL, and click “Request Indexing” so Google re-crawls it with the updated content.
I hope it helps.
Thanks
