All things Shopify and commerce
Hi, I'm trying to add my subdomain prints.kimpaffen.com to my Shopify account but it keeps saying 'not yet connected'. My hosting provider says it should work. I read in previous discussions that I need to add a CNAME record 'shops.myshopify.com.' to my DNS Management but it says 'can not add record, must provide a valid name and value'. Am I missing something? See screenshots of what I did. Thanks.

Hi there @kimpaffen!
Thanks for sharing all that info and those screenshots with us here, that's super helpful!
There are a couple of things I'd like to share with you here, to hopefully clarify the situation and get you set up okay.
Firstly, when connecting a third-party domain to Shopify, it is important to set up the A record as well as the CNAME record.
If you haven't already set this up, you can enter the Shopify IP address (23.227.38.65) for the A record.
The next point I would like to make you aware of is that it can take 48 hours for domains or subdomains to be verified and show as such in your Shopify admin.
If everything else has been set up okay according to your third-party domain's support team, we should see that resolved over the next couple of days.
Let me know if you continue to have any sort of issue with this past that timeframe.
It looks like you're running a photography business using Shopify, can you tell me a bit about anything you're working on for your business currently?
