Taxes Not Appearing During Test Checkout Despite Global Settings

Hi Shopify Community,

I’m encountering an issue where taxes are not appearing during a test checkout on my store. I’ve enabled the following settings under Global Settings:

• "Include sales tax in product price and shipping rate"
• "Charge sales tax on shipping" and "Charge VAT on digital goods" are unchecked.

Despite these settings, I’m not seeing any taxes calculated or applied at checkout. I’ve tried different customer profiles and shipping zones, but taxes still don’t show up.

Here’s a summary of my current setup:

1. Tax Settings: Taxes are included in product prices.
2. Customer Location: I’ve tested various customer locations where tax should be applied.
3. Shipping Zones: I’ve confirmed that I have shipping zones set up for the test locations.

Question:

• Could there be any other settings or configuration steps I’m missing to ensure taxes appear during checkout?
• Are there specific conditions under which Shopify would not show taxes during test checkouts?
• Is there a way to troubleshoot tax calculations in more detail to ensure everything is functioning as expected?
