Testing Discounts Before Activating

Is there a way to test a discount before making it live in a store? It would be helpful to be able to test that the discount settings work before scheduling a discount to go live so that there aren’t any issues during a sale. What would be the best way to verify that the discount will function as intended?

I’d recommend trying Coupon X.

You can create impressive coupons and discounts for your Shopify store while previewing it directly from your dashboard.

As for testing it out, I’ll suggest testing it out at a time when your store traffic is greatly reduced (at night perhaps). Coupon X has an edit function that lets you make quick changes to your coupon even after it's gone live. That way, you won’t have to delete your entire coupon and start over if you need to make any changes or even extend the discount period.
