Attached below is the resolution process Shopify follows for customers like me who feel they ought to have customer support to resolve an issue quickly. I am still locked out of my online store.
The date on the below screenshot is several days AFTER I opened the case - the document request was after a series of frustrating attempts to make the problem go away with the 'helpful live chat'.

I highly suggest that you follow up your case directly to Shopify support team and while on the live chat ask them to follow up to their Account security team if possible. I know it is not ideal but since this is an account issue, the best course of action is to keep an open communication with Shopify support team.
Thank you for the information, and I have accessed the Shopify team. I am reluctant to mark my query as resolved as Shopify has asked me to wait up to 10 days for a resolution - so just sit back and wait while I am locked out of my account. Shopify is a service provider that I have paid for. I am currently not able to conduct business and consider the level of customer support unacceptable.
