Third-party API integration

Hello Experts,

I am not a developer, but a Shopify client. I need to integrate a Cielo API into my store. Cielo is compatible with Shopify (it will integrate with it). Does this mean that this is a two-way street, that automatically, Shopify will accept Cielo and integrate with it's API? 

Please shine some light on this question for me. Much appreciated!
