This is what I got not from a Shopify account.

We are writing to follow up on our previous communication regarding unresolved patent infringement issues related to your Shopify store. As we have not received a response within the requested time frame, we want to emphasize the urgency of addressing these concerns immediately to avoid any potential legal and reputational risks.

Please note that a Ticket ID: PCI-00321 has been created for this issue. To proceed, we kindly request that you reach out to our Intellectual Property Compliance Team within the next 24 hours to initiate the necessary review and take corrective action. If we do not hear from you within this time frame, we will have no choice but to consider your store non-compliant and be forced to discontinue support for your store on our platform.

Our team is ready to ensure that all materials and products on your store meet the required legal standards. We urge you to take prompt action to avoid further legal complications.

Please reach out to our Compliance Team now

It’s almost certainly a phishing attempt. Here’s why and what you should do:

  1. Unusual channel (Telegram).
Shopify’s legal and IP-compliance teams never ask merchants to join Telegram chats. All official notices come through your Shopify admin dashboard and a “@shopify.com” email address.

  2. High-pressure deadline.
Scammers often threaten abrupt account suspension (“24 hours to respond”) to scare you into clicking their links. Shopify will never cut you off with that kind of ultimatum—especially via a chat app.

  3. Always verify via your admin.
Log into your store’s Settings → Legal → Intellectual Property or Settings → Payments → Disputes (depending on theme/version) and look for any open IP or payment disputes. If Shopify has a genuine issue, it’ll appear there, with a ticket you can track.

  4. Check the sender’s email.
If it isn’t from an official Shopify domain (for example, @Shopify.com or @shopsupport.com), delete it. Don’t click any links.

  5. Contact Shopify directly if in doubt.
Open a support request from your Shopify admin (Help → Contact Support) and reference “IP infringement” or “legal notice.” They’ll confirm whether anything is outstanding.

Next steps:

  • Do not click the Telegram link or respond to that message.

  • Forward the email to Shopify’s official support (support@shopify.com) for their records.

  • Monitor your admin dashboard for any real IP-infringement notifications.

Stay safe—if it doesn’t follow Shopify’s standard support channels, treat it as a scam.

If this fixed your issue, a Like and marking it as a Solution would mean a lot!
