To know the default language of the store using console

Hey, I need help with language. I have setup different languages and i just want to know the default language of the store how can i get to know about this using console.

Open your browser console and enter this:

Shopify.locale

It shows the currently selected not the default one

If you wish to see, which language is selected by default in your store, you would need to:

Shopify > Settings > Languages > Published Languages.

However, if you would like to display the default language in console, there is not direct command. At least not that I am aware off.

Since the default language is selected by default, the "Shopify.locale" command should help. You can try opening the store in an incognito tab and then typing the command 🙂
